Eden Faye, 19 Months Old

Hi, friends! I am 19 months old today!
Here's what I'm up to lately:

-I weigh 24 pounds and am probably about 33 inches tall.
-I wear 18 to 24 months clothes, size 2t training pants and size 5 shoes.
-I have eight teeth.
-I still eat anything you put on my plate but ESPECIALLY watermelon lately, love coconut water, and love to nurse!
-I eat three meals a day--whatever Mama is eating--usually share an apple or some sweet potato chips for a snack in the afternoon, and still nurse a handful of times for a few seconds here and there throughout the day, down for a nap, and down for the night.
-I sleep from 8ish to 8ish most nights and usually don't wake to nurse until 6am.
-I take one long nap in the middle of the day. This week it has been from 11 to 1:30ish, but I went through a crazy all over the place nap schedule this month. Sometimes I was ready to go down as early as 9:30, sometimes not until 3! Mama thinks I was going through a lot developmentally.
-I say most words and lots of two word phrases. Lots of "my shoes," "my head," "my mama," etc. Some of my other favorites are, "I Edie!" "Mama and Dada!" "3, 2, 1, blast off!" "sweet baby/puppy/bear," "I walk/eat/read," "tanky! (thank you)," "bessy! (bless you)," "miss you," "call Pa," "shoes on/off."
-I say "peeze" and "tanky" appropriately!
-My f sounds are still s/sh.
-I can count! I say, "Wah, two, dee, two two, sick."
-I put on my pink flower sunglasses and immediately ask to dance.
-I am a shoe loving girl.
-I love to wash my hands and usually ask to as soon as they get dirty.
-I've been playing outside in the backyard almost every day this month and loving it! I ask to go "outsy" all the time.
-If I notice I made a mess on the floor, I yell "mess!" and get down to wipe it with a blankie, towel, wipe or whatever is available to me.
-I had a few really fun playdates this month. Mama and I are trying to make friends :)
-I also went on my first little trip without Dada--Mama and I did great! I slept the entire drive to and from Tulsa. Mama can't believe how much I've changed and how go with the flow I've become compared to when I was a baby!
-For the first time in my life I went an entire day without a nap--when we were in Tulsa. Too much to do and too many people to see!
-Owls might be competing with cats as my favorite animal. I say, "I owl, hoo hoo!" all the time.
-Blue is my favorite color. I always choose the blue crayon, blue car, or blue puzzle piece to play with/carry around with me.
-I know and can say blue, purple, pink, red, yellow, orange, green, and black.
-Horse was a new animal for me this month. I say "huss! mayyyy!" (can't say my n sounds, either).
-I called Aunt Nat, "Matt!" and yelled it over and over at her house to get her attention.
-I rarely have freak outs, but when I start to Mama gets down to my level and touches my back and tells me she can't let me do whatever it is I was doing, and I immediately settle down, usually hug her and go about my day.
-Speaking of hugs, I become more and more cuddly every day. I randomly walk up to Mama and Dada and ask for "Hug?" or "Kiss?"
-If I fall or hurt myself I say, "Mama, hurt! Kiss!" And run over and bend my head down so she can kiss my forehead. Then I go back to whatever I was doing. That's all I need.
-I still love to read and could probably spend the entire day doing so.
-I also love to take all of the books off my shelf one by one and hand them to Mama. Then when it's all empty, I go back to her and get them one by one and put them back and then clap for myself.
-I also love to "bid tah" (build tower). I can stack four blocks! When Mama builds a big tower I say, "Top off," and take the top block off one by one and hand them to her or put them back in my basket.
-Almost all plants are flowers to me and I stop to smell them.
-Almost everywhere we go someone tells Mama I seem like a very happy child.
-I love to brush and floss my teeth!
-I don't love getting my nails clipped but if Mama gives me choices (Which hand would you like to start with?), I usually relax and let her do it really quickly.
-I love going to the grocery store and helping put things in the basket.
-I love swings even more every time we go to the park.
-I am a total water girl and whenever Mama says it's time to get out of the bath I flatten myself to the bottom of the tub so she can't pick me up easily. Every time I see water (river, pond, lake, fountain) I flail all over the place trying to run to it.
-I am super ticklish but I also love tickling Mama and Dada. I poke them in the bellies and say, "Tickuh!" and wait for them to laugh.
-I rock my babies and animals and say, "Sweet baby," all day long, and when I see a cat or dog in real life I say, "Sweet pup," and do the rocking motion with my arms like I'm holding them.
-I try to pet bugs and I'm totally amazed when they fly away.
-I have started walking up and down stairs holding the wall/rail instead of crawling.
-I wave and say "Hi!" to almost everyone in public.
-I fall asleep to Mama singing "You Are My Sunshine" while nursing me most naps and nights lately.
-Mama is holding me back from becoming a potty-using pro. Somebody slap her into shape!

My big personality girl--you are so wild! You have reminded me how good it feels to just dance all morning or sit in the grass looking for clovers all afternoon and forget about the dirty clothes and dishes and anything else. You run from one end of the yard or house to the other with all of your soul and a huge smile on your face because you are just so excited to get to whatever it is you are planning to do.  I feel like I need to pinch myself all of the time with how happy of a child you've become after how rough the first chunk of your babyhood was. You are so loving! I'm having so many moments lately where I'm holding you or watching you run or nursing you to sleep and I just feel the weight of how beautiful our life together is and how quickly it will change (and still be beautiful, but someday you won't fall asleep on me anymore) and I find myself crying and smiling at the same time. You have broken open a part of me I didn't even know was there. I love you so very very much!
