I recently found Keaira LaShae's Burn to the Beat series and I am hooked! Edie is a huge fan, too--she runs and squats and dances when Keaira tells us to. Three of these videos and I am SWEATING. If you only have time for one, that middle video is no joke.
For as long as I can remember I've NEEDED to work out in order to feel decent. In the appropriate context, I love to sweat and feel like I really deserve a shower at the end of the day. As of the past few months I've been able to get in 30-40 minutes of cardio and a little yoga six to seven days a week, and I'm feeling pretty good! I ask Edie, "Is it time to work out?" as soon as that mid-afternoon funk starts to creep in, and she gets all excited and stands up and starts running in place. Figuring out how to fit it into my daily routine with a baby was incredibly difficult, though, but I'd be happy to share more about my postpartum fitness journey if that's something you're interested in. Please let me know!
Either way, fight the mid-week blues with a little cardio. It works, and I think it's so important for our babies to see us taking care of our bodies if we expect them to do the same :)
